Wow, I need to increase my voting disposition..

The jerk before me rated it a 2, and I gave it a 5 and it only went up by 1.37....

What the frick was he thinking? This is a really awesome track. It has a very 'lost and hopeless' ambiance to it. If I use my imagination, I could imagine just walking alone in a gray misty void with no objects, no other people, and no way out.

In my opinion, you have title has captured this song perfectly, and I really do hope this gets a higher score in a short little while. It's worth it. Great job!

I really appreciate your comment and for that reason it's worthy making songs :-)

Familiar

I actually really like this. Have you ever played any of the "Golden Sun" games for the GBA? This is what it reminds me of. It's very adventure-like and triumphant. For a first song, I think this is really good. Definitely beats mine by a few dozen lightyears.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

lol, not only have I played and completed Golden Sun 1 and 2 but they are among my favorite RPGs of all time. Ya, this song is actually the theme song to my "Fire Side" concept. A story I want to publish in any form of media sometime in the future. And Fire Side has plenty relations to Golden Sun (but Fire Side is modern day). Thanx for the review, im glad you liked it. You could hear the full version in dont lead me astray (the rock sounding one). I'm planning to do many remixes from this song because this is the best melody I have ever created IMO.

Aaargh!

Holy crap, what a POWERFUL beginning! This song is evil. It's a creation of a mad scientist with musical affinity!
This is just like a zombie attack! You're sitting on your computer surfing the Newgrounds audio portal when all of a sudden they just smash through your window and try to annihilate you!

Yea this is a sick track. I usually prefer it when songs kind of "deconstruct" towards the end, rather than abruptly ending, but you pulled this one off perfectly with that zombie moan. Did you make that sound yourself?

5/5 ~ 10/10

Check out my new song "Waking Fantasy". It'll help you recover from the recent zombie siege. XD

dj-Jo responds:

Love your reviews man!
Like how you interpret songs with a story

Thanks for the review. and Nice song Btw

It's been said already, but I'm gonna say it too.

You are superbly creative. I really like this track. The only things I think need a bit of changing to make it totally epic are to lower the distortion a bit. It's a little bit distracting when you're trying to absorb the rhythm and beat, and just to slightly lower the bass. I don't want to have lower my bass settings on my speakers just to hear the music, lol.

With that all being said, this is an excellent piece. Keep up the good work!

Check out my newest song, "Waking Fantasy"! I think you'll like it.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

I've checked out your song. Read the review i left, i love your song.
I've removed the distortion (flanger). Now i hope you can enjoy it to your full potential.

LOL!

At first I thought this was just some odd submission from some guy trying to be funny, and it was! This is hilarious!

DJDustyGorilla responds:

Thank you.

Really good

I can totally feel that intro. Nice heavy bass, and for some reason this song reminds me of soccer pump-up music. You're right about the name too! It really does make you want to turn up your speakers!

However, I think all you need to do with this is speed it up a bit. It's slightly too slow-paced, but that's just me being picky. This still kicks major gluteus maximus!

Nice work!

Could you check out my new ambient song, "Waking Fantasy"? It'll help you cool down after dancing to your pumping beat! Lol

dj-Jo responds:

I listened to it and it does sound nice.
Anyway
Thanks for the review, also, hope you do great on newgrounds.

the 3 changed names of this song are...
Bass Generation
Turn up the bass
Pump the bass

final name of choice...
Turn it up

lol

This is pretty sick

This is a real nice track. It's very fast paced and strides with a big "in your face" ego. This is good for those insane break-dancers who do crazy things like doing handstands with their eyelashes while spinning on their tailbone. Well, at least they could do that while listening to this..

MmmCake responds:

haha, thanks for the review! yeah that was pretty much exactly the feel I was trying to give this track =D

What would I do with a drunken sailor?

I'd make him listen to this music and watch him dance. It seems that the people that gave this song low ratings probably only listened to the first few seconds and didn't allow the actual beat to arrive. I dig it. I like the sweet dance floor feel to it, although I would never dance to it (That's only because I don't dance)

~~To anyone about to write a review, listen to the WHOLE song before you rate!!! There's some good stuff here!~~

4/5* (The intro could have been different, hehe)

9/10 (Only one off because of the intro.)

Nice work!

hanorotu responds:

Thank you! I was wondering why I was getting low ratings. lol

;_; Wonderful

This a great song! The oriental guitar is a nice addition, and the beats go well with the whole theme. Nice work!

Ha.

You said "ps: Give it about a minute to gain momentum, please (:"

Yea right!

I'm a sucker for the piano. That's a beautiful intro. As soon as 00:26 came, I added this song to my favourites. The beat blending with the piano is genius, and the extra sound effects that appear (00:49) make excellent additions to the relaxed feeling of this piece.

I love the way you did this. Excellent work!

tijnn responds:

Thanks for the review, i'm very glad that you liked every aspect of it. (:
