Isoken's News

I've noticed an interesting little trend with the way people reply to threads in relation to their chosen account auras. Whether they are aware of this, I am unsure.

Here is what I've noticed.

Light
People with a light aura tend to be the less cynical, sarcastic, and harsh users and are generally more laid back when they comment.
When greeted with an insult or snide remark from another user, they tend to withdraw, but not after leaving a final comment such as "Chill lol, this is just NG, no need to get a cactus up your bum".
When commenting on a pathetic, pointless thread (probably like this one), they will try and put it lightly that the person isn't really being too smart by having posted it. Example: Thread named "HAI GUYZ AI HAD SUPPER 4 BREKFUST TUDAY!! HARJHAR!". The light aura user will generally respond with something along the lines of, "That's kinda funny lol, but I don't think this thread will survive long xD."

Dark
Dark users are generally serious commenters, who try to include a comedic aspect to the way they post. I've noticed that they seem to provide more common sense, or at least a taste of reality when it comes to leaving replies to anything in particular.
When greeted with an insult or snide remark from another user, they usually reply with a blunt but demeaning response.
Example
Random guy: "hey dark aura you're a dickhead, you pussy. suck my weiner, noob"
Dark aura: "I don't really give a shit what you think. You're probably some asshole kid who listens to Green Day and Motley Crue. Go wipe your ass on sandpaper, retard,"
When commenting on a dumb, pointless thread, they will do one of two things: They will either humour the original poster by replying with a smart-ass remark that brings a chuckle to a few faces, or they will reply with a picture of a crowd of applauding people that says "CONGRATULATIONS. THIS THREAD FAILS."

Neutral
Nothing interesting here. Neutral users are all over the place. Although, I tend to notice a lot of newbies and half-wit-numb-nuts users keep the neutral aura.

Evil
More often than not, an evil aura has something comedic or sarcastic to reply with. When greeted with a rude or offending comment, they will often reply with something like, "OH NO! GUYS HE CALLED ME A SHITBRICK! /wrist. i'm gonna go jump in the toilet now ;_; rofl. fail."
When commenting on a pointless thread, they often like to keep the thread going with equally pointless comments and replies, until a dark aura user comes in and replies with a picture of a crowd of applauding people that says "CONGRATULATIONS. THIS THREAD FAILS."
The evil aura user will reply with a picture of a toilet that says "so i herd u lyk party pooping".

Fab
Fab users consist of three people:
#1. Girls
#2. Gay guys
#3. Total douchebags.
More often than not, it's just #3.
You can tell. When replying to an insult or rude comment (in fact, any comment at all), #1 and #2 will respond with a looooooong winded reply.
#3 will reply (with perfect grammar, mind you) with a comment making fun of the offender's intelligence or lack thereof, whilst not really denying or brushing off the initial insult.

When replying to a thread that is pointless, a fab user will say "A mod's gonna lock this soon. Buh bye."

Okay, so these are just the trends that I've noticed and in no way represent what you, as a user with any of these auras, may believe, think, reply, eat, or anything like that..

I can't believe myself. I just made a remix to a hip-hop song. What caused this sudden change of music style?

Nothing. I just happened to like the song.

I usually hate hip-hop, but this song has a good tune. The lyrics suck though.
The song I'm speaking of is Akon's "Beautiful".

Here it is: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /286363

Now I need to go and recover from my brain damage from listening to this song over 40 times to create this..

Enjoy, leave reviews, and have God have mercy on my scarred soul...

So I was just surfing Newgrounds, checking out funny animations and stuff, when I checked my inbox, and my little brother had sent me a message saying that one of my songs made it as #7 of all-time top scoring songs. When I checked for myself, i was more than freaking surprised.
I uploaded that song in early August, and it took almost three months just to get 500 votes, and then over a matter of 3 days it received another 2,000, and 150 more downloads. I almost feel like I've won some sort of prestige.

Thanks everyone for helping me get there!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now before any idiots read this and then leave me pathetic comments like "stfu noob, ur a techno h8er", let me remind you that this is an opinion of my own. I'm not God. What I say isn't law. So if you're going to troll my rant, please press alt+f4 and gtfo. :)
Recently, I just realized how much techno and trance is on Newgrounds. There's so much that I'm actually almost beginning to hate the genre. EVERYONE puts up techno and trance. EVERY popular artist is techno and trance. At least 50% of all the new entries are techno and trance. What is it with Newgrounds and this genre? It's occurred to me that every 12-year-old kid who gets their hands on FL Studio wants to make techno. I don't mean to totally annihilate the genre, but to be honest, all I ever hear is "Un, Tss, Un, Tss, Un, Tss" and a random tune to go with it and it gets ratings and reviews like "H0Li 5H1T COW! t3N OUT OF T3n!!! OH EM GEE uR mAi F4v0r1t3 NG ART15T!!!"
Techno is freaking easy to make. Synth, Gate, Arp, Kick, Clap, a couple of automation clips, and there you go: You have a techno song. Don't get me wrong, I've made techno songs (and I now hate them with a burning passion. I'd delete them off of NG, but I want you all to see just how much they suck compared to my newer stuff.) but that just goes to show that anyone can do it.
It's also occurred to me that a majority of zero-bombers are techno-loving 12-year-old failbeans who will submit a song overnight and bomb everyone else's so that in the morning theirs will have a better chance at being in the top-five weekly. Ever wonder why there's ALWAYS techno and/or trance in the top-5-weekly? (Except this week, thank God)
Now, before I wrap this up, let me redeem myself. I have to admit that there ARE some really decent techno tracks out there on NG. I mean the type that aren't just "un, tss, un, tss, un, tss". The type that actually took ~real~ valuable time to make. They often variate in beat, rhythm, and tempo and contain a plethora of fitting sounds and instruments that will keep the song fresh for the whole duration. I know who mA1 F4v0r1t3.. *ahem* Oops, I mean.. I know who MY favorites are, and it's because I know they put effort into what they do. The crappy artists just eat lots of spicy food, unleash diarrhea into bucket and then record the sound effects and upload it onto Newgrounds with a beat added by FL Studio. At least, that's what I did with MY first song. What?...
Anyway, techno/trance isn't all THAT sucky. Just the majority of the Newgrounds type.
/~\~/~\~/~\~/~\~/~\~/~\~/~
Let me show my appreciation for the genre by advertising my little bro, who has ever so patiently listened to my occasional rants and not told me how much of failbean I seem to be because of it.
His username is DaveGuy, and he has some techno tracks that I really have to admit are pretty decent. You may find him here: http://Daveguy.newgrounds.com/
BY THE WAY:
If you agreed with my rant above and decide to zerobomb him, I will appear in your kitchen and drink all your Kool-Aid and leave you thirsty forever.
I was surfing through my music playlist today, when I came across an ambient track consisting of only a piano with nature sound effects in the background like rain, thunder, waterfalls, and plenty of others. I have no idea how it got in my music list, as I have never bought an ambient album before.
It was this that sparked my inspiration. I decided to create my own little nature ambient piece. So, I surfed the net for a looong time in search of rain sound effects. At first, this may sound easy, and it really is. There are thousands of free sound effects on the net, and I did find them. The only problem is that the sound quality of these is less than that of a day-old turd.
Anyway, I found what I was looking for after much frustration and a couple of virus scans, just in case.
I present to you "Macrocosm ~The Sky's Lament~.
It is intended to tell you a story which only you may interpret. If you feel like sharing, please do tell me what it told you by reviewing!
I have also uploaded a version for people who wish to use it in their Flash submissions. It does not contain the nature sounds. It is called "Macrocosm (No Background)".
I've been dabbling in piano again! I just made this today after I was playing around on the piano with different compositions, and this is what came out of it all. I really like this one, but I know for sure it's not worthy of the top five. It's more of a relaxing piece, with some liveliness added in.
Check it out here! http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /272585
I don't like it as much as I like my previous submission, "Waking Fantasy", but I'm still proud of it.
Waking Fantasy may be listened to here: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /263325
This is the next step of my recent rave song:
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /270740
I'm still learning, so if it sucks, rate it low and tell me why :D
So I've recently started to take a deeper interest in rave music, and it's kind of inspired me to start learning how to make it myself.
What I've done so far is:
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /270621
I know it's not good, and I'm expecting some rather low scores, so please do leave me some reviews and ratings. I want to get a lot of feedback on what people like to hear in their rave/dance music, so I can finally create something that will have everyone on their feet (or off their feet if it gets them jumping enough) :P
So I finally decided to add some news to my page, after (hold on, let me open another screen to check the date I joined....) 10 months.
So I do wonder just how many people come to my page on an average basis. I'm assuming not much, because only like two or three of my submissions have over 100 views, and those ones have been up since last year. Meh, one day Newgrounds. One day you'll know me.
I think I'll start my rise to fame by promoting my newest musical creation, "Waking Fantasy"! Check it out!
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /263325
And, uhh...
I actually do consider it to be my best creation to date, and if you're in the mood for chilling, check out my Youtube piece I made with it.
